Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Kearny Mesa

We FINALLY made it down from Carlsbad and took advantage of the “Proper Roast Dinner with Richard Blais.” Our first time here was well worth it! The restaurant is GORGEOUS! The staff, engaging and very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed the scrumptious prime rib dinner with wonderful sides. Everything was meticulously prepared and delicious! King Richard visited our table a few times which made our experience extra special. The sticky toffee and date cake with salted caramel ice cream is a MUST!!! Sooooo good! Birthday Afternoon Tea. Rustin was over-the-top amazing! So knowledgeable about tea and loaded with personality. Perfect server for a perfect experience. Will definitely be returning!

A go-to spot for years. Beautiful views, delicious food and cocktails. A must if you are visiting La Jolla. Rachael is and has been the kindest, most attentive server that makes you feel so amazing and welcome.

Mother's day brunch/buffet was absolutely WONDERFUL. I highly recommend it.

Excellent and friendly service, excellent tea and well- prepared food. The view was beautiful and the harpist set a nice scene. I’ve been to several afternoon teas in other US cities and this was the first that rose to the expected level of service and food quality that I’ve experienced in San Diego. While on the pricier side (especially the champagne markup), it is on par with afternoon tea at other luxury properties in big cities. A lovely treat and lovely afternoon gathering with friends. ( The scones were fantastic!). We will be back.
