Opened on December 13, 2014 (yes, 12/13/14!) in a historic building at the corner of Woodward and Canfield. The Huma Room on the second floor features half of a black 1973 Cadillac Fleetwood mounted behind the wall and an outdoor patio. Located on Woodward Ave, it's easy to jump on the QLine or walk down to Little Caesars Arena, Comerica Park, or Ford Field. HopCat was founded on the principles of bringing local craft beer a bit closer to the communities we love. We’re known for our award-wining Cosmik fries, which are beer battered, sprinkled with our signature cracked black pepper seasoning, and served with a side of warm cheese sauce.     The food was fantastic! The halibut was absolutely perfect and the tagliatelle was spectacular. We really enjoyed sitting at the chef's counter and watching the fire. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall a great experience! Can't wait to visit again. Definitely order the bread!

    This was our second time at Bakersfield and it has been great both times. Food is full of flavor and service is friendly. A bit loud for us to talk with our group, but it was right before the crowd was leaving for the Red Wings game, so we should have expected that. We'll be back.

    Excellent food and great atmosphere!! Our waiter was very attentive.. his first night on the job and did a wonderful job!! Drinks/cocktails were lovely as well.. you have to try the specialty lemonade!! Hush puppies a must as well.. lots of sharing plates! A great place to bring the entire family💖 will be back during the Christmas break for sure!!
