Café Napoli is a family owned restaurant, established in 1989 by Tony and Kathy Pietoso. Quickly becoming a success, they moved the small basement restaurant to a larger location at the corner of Forsyth and Bemiston in the heart of Clayton. In 2003, sons Ande and Kye expanded their family restaurant by adding Bar Napoli, a swank cocktail lounge. A few years later, Napoli Reserve was added onto Bar Napoli allowing for private event space and an additional bar and lounge for the weekends. After years of a flourishing business, Kathy and Tony decided to take their ventures West to Town and Country where they opened their second location, Napoli2, managed by Ande. Kye has taken the reigns from his father and is now the front man for the 8,000 square foot establishment in Clayton. Café Napoli and Bar Napoli have recently undergone a face lift inside and out. I loved the experience. The only thing is I was really dressed up and it was people in jogging suits and tennis shoes. I got ac better understanding of the dress code after asking the waitress. The dress code does not change my experience. I loved it!

I had been wanting to try John Mineo’s for some time, and am so glad that I finally did. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the lunch menu is a great deal. The seafood pasta was out of this world, and the chocolate peanut butter pie was heavenly. My server Rick was just wonderful, and made certain that my experience was perfect. It has to be the most authentic Italian restaurant in St. Louis. I look forward to returning.

Delicious food and excellent service. The meal is served at a typical Italian pace - one is expected to linger over and enjoy each course. So it is not unusual for a meal to last 2.5 hours. Slow down and enjoy!
