Market Place Kitchen and Bar is a traditional American restaurant, operating with a theme of preparing all cuisines with organic and sustainable ingredients. The restaurant has a decent wooden décor, constructed with 300-years old barn wood from Brook Field's farm. Market Place Kitchen and Bar has a full-service banquet with modern business facilities for corporate events and meetings. Alex Lowe, the executive chef, has prepared a healthy menu for guests in Market Place Kitchen and Bar. Surf and turf is the specialty meal here. The restaurant is named after America’s most famous founding father, Benjamin Franklin. While he was pinnacle in America’s birth, he also became the first ambassador to France. While on trips to Paris, he would wine and dine with the best of them and when he returned, he would bring back the French culture, food and wine, and share it with our new nation. Dishes like Potato Lyonnaise and Crème Brulée were the first of his favorites he shared with America. The Benjamin reflects that bridged gap between the two countries’ cultures. The restaurant and bar is french-inspired, but uniquely American. It sits in Ridgefield's historic district in a 1875 house, but the interiors are modern, elegant and new. Prime is one of my favorite restaurants in Stamford. My brother and I both had steak. The filet mignon and skirt steak were cooked perfectly. The sides were also excellent. I was disappointed with the martini. The glass wasn’t completely full after the pour and the waitress had to go back to the bartender to get more martini! It’s the food (and a good wine list) that keeps me coming back!

Outstanding Service, lovely food and charming atmosphere. Burgers, truffle fries, Desert Board and Gingerbread Chai Latte were very tasty. We were seated outside under heaters which was perfect thanks to good weather. They offered Seasonal Cocktails and they were passing hors d'oeuvres while we were waiting to be seated. This cafe is situated in Terrain and it was so beautifully decorated for Christmas including a snow machine. This was my 2nd visit and Restaurant staff are excellent.
