Since 1746, the building that houses this tavern has played a part in the establishment of our nation; first as a respite for stagecoach travelers expanding westward and later as a covert rendezvous point for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution. It is believed that during the infamous winter of 1777–1778 at Valley Forge, a major figure in the Continental Army, master military mind Friedrich Von Steuben, designated the tavern as a secret black powder munitions stash for Continental Army couriers. All the while, the tavern continued to provide food, shelter and cheer to the hungry, weary soldiers fighting for their independence. Today, we honor our historic tavern’s tradition with a mission to raise the spirits of our guests.     The renovations to the bar were worth the wait- The space is very warm and inviting! They had a wonderful piano player that complimented the ambiance as well. We were pleased with the unique choices on the menu, and very satisfied with our meals. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and attentive, and when my husband mentioned it was my birthday, she offered us a free dessert! As if that wasn’t surprise enough, I got a card signed by everyone on the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our night and definitely plan on returning soon!

    This is one of our absolute favorite restaurants and we live near Hershey! Between the food and the atmosphere we schedule times through tour the year to make the special trip and we always enjoy ourselves. Looking forward to coming again!!!

    We always enjoy our visits and keep coming back. Food and service consistently excellent. seems as if each entree is about $2-3 overpriced relative to competitors comparable dishes. modest amount of shrinkflation in portion sizes as well.

    We were seated at a lovely table on the sunny front "porch". The shrimp with wild rice and avocado salsa was delicious as was the crabcake sandwich, the scallop salad and the bison sliders. Our waitress, Nanci, was very efficient and served us well. We have thoroughly enjoyed eating at the Cedar Hollow Inn Restaurant over the years and always find it to be a super spot. We've never had a bad meal. Kudos to the management!

    We stumbled on the Thanksgiving buffet at Fern & Fable in 2023. We couldn’t wait to return this year. We love the food, and the picky kids in the family love it, too. The service is great and everyone is personable. This year we had a last minute need for two children and 1 adult who had nowhere to go for a holiday dinner. I sent an email to the email address listed and received a response right away from the event coordinator, Dawn, saying it was “no problem” to add them to my reservation. That made my whole day and was greatly appreciated! Great place, great food, wonderful management!
