Best Live Music Restaurants in Old Town Alexandria

Had Sunday brunch and it was great. Glad we had made a reservation though as it was busy. Very reasonably priced food and good atmosphere. Enjoyed the music playlist too!

This was an outstanding experience. Everything about this lovely restaurant deserves 10 stars!! Highly recommend!!!

Excellent, fun, intimate and excellent! Seafood medley (shrimp, scallops, mussels and clams) over linguine w/ pink marinara sauce was spectacular. Great dessert and coffee(chocolate). Service was great.

My niece and I had a lovely dinner. I asked for a quiet table as it can be pretty noisy at Josephine. We were seated at the very back, and it made conversation easy. Our waiter was excellent. I have multiple dietary restrictions and he helped me to choose. I had the trout, which was very tasty. My niece had the scallops, which she loved. She had vanilla ice cream for dessert and I had the mixed berry sorbet. Both are housemade and delicious. I've been to Josephine a number of times and appreciate that the menu changes seasonally. A nice touch was the manager stopping by to check on us.

Wonderful small restaurant in Old Town Alexandria with great food and good service, but with a huge caveat. Portions are a little small for the price being paid … but my major complaint is the ridiculous noise level, especially for a place called “the Study“. No noise absorbing materials, such as carpets, curtains or ceiling tiles. This has to be one of the noisiest small places I’ve ever dined at. This is my second time and nothing has changed. As a local resident, I will not be back, nor will I recommend this place.
