Located in the heart of the old railroad and mining town of Minturn, the Saloon’s building dates back to 1901. During the last one hundred years it has been, at one time or another, home to various taverns, restaurants and even back room gambling for railroaders. While the last five decades have seen the development of Vail and Beaver Creek resorts just seven miles on either side of Minturn, the town’s appearance and feel retains its historic Colorado roots. Recently under new ownership, The Saloon has undergone a complete renovation and reopened in November of '23 with a fresh new menu and updated space. Chef Anthony Mazza's menu features slow-cooked short rib and pork cheek and Colorado River Ranch wagyu steak. The nostalgia and historical memorabilia and photos remain. This is a wonderful choice! The breakfast buffet is upscale and classy. The americanos and espresso we had was phenomenal! The staff was so friendly and we will always stop when we come back to Vail!

We reserved a spot in the outdoor terrace which is very nice and unique, with a Fireplace and an excellent view. The food was good and the servers were nice. A different experience for an after skiing day.

It wasn’t written in the Reservation page, but only adults are authorized for dinner; nevertheless we had no problem with our 16 year old. We enjoyed a fantastic Three Kings Family Dinner along with our son and twins, savoring every moment from cocktails (and a Mocktail), to the soup, then entrées, and finally dessert. To us, it’s the BEST Restaurant in Vail.

Our party of five dined at Leonora on January 2nd and had a lovely experience. The menu was varied and interesting and we all ordered different entrees. Each one was excellent, beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. The service was attentive and Jeff was helpful as we asked for recommendations on appetizers, etc. The ambiance was cozy and elegant and the noise level was fine for meaningful conversation. We will definitely be dining here again.
