Best Open Kitchen Restaurants in River North (Chicago)

I had not been to Wildfire in sometime, it was a pleasure to go back. It felt homey and familiar. Meaning, the service was the same, friendly and accommodating. And the quality and taste of the food was also the same. I like dependability and consistency when I eat out!

We had such a nice evening. Great food, amazing wine, the best old fashions and awesome service. Austin was our server. He was great!!

Went to brunch with the girls. It was a great experience overall. The food was absolutely delicious. The only thing is the wait staff kept coming to our table repeatedly making it seem like they wanted us to leave, while we were the only ones at this restaurant. Other than that, it was great and it was amazing. Will definitely go back for dinner.

We had an amazing dining experience! Our server, Sasha, was very knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. The cocktails were perfectly made and paired well with our dishes. The carbonara pasta was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the chicken saltimbocca was delicious. We finished with a rich and chocolatey tiramisu, which was the perfect ending. The manager checked in to make sure everything was great, showing how much they care about the service. We’ll definitely be back!

I cannot count the number of visits we've had to The Girl and the Goat, but it continues to be a favorite for both personal and professional dining. I brought three colleagues, who have never been, to the restaurant for dinner. One diner is vegetarian, but there are menu offerings and options available to provide them with enough to eat. All three were quite impressed with the food. My only complaint would be our table was right next to the kitchen, which can be loud. However, we made due, and had an enjoyable meal. Service is always very good, and the cocktails are fun. If you're interested in dining, make sure you book way ahead, as there is almost no chance to get a table day of.
