Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. This larger location channels a lavish French Brasserie, with its marble bar, banquette lined dining room, and a Chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen. The second dining room can be reserved for larger parties and private events. Since opening, Petit Trois has garnered praise from casual foodies and revered food critics. I left my black leather gloves on a two-two at Terra's patio on 12/25 about 10:00 P.M. I've called and called. I've emailed. I even made faux reservations with the hope that the hostess will read and do something. What's wrong with people in hospitality today? Does the fish stink from the head down in this case?

Outstanding meal. Great attentive service. Excellent food from the French Onion Soup and Hamachi Crudo appetizers to classic entrees Trout Almondine, Mussels Mariniere in a sublime white wine sauce with shallots and Creme Fraiche, and Filet au Poivre with a delicious cognac black pepper sauce. Belgian Endive Salad also very solid while the Bartender was on his game. All around great French Bistro vibe. And Chocolate Souffle to cap it off. A winner!

Had a wonderful time at Saffy’s last night — I have high expectations for this restaurant “group” and y’all deliver great food and service every time. This was also the first time in a long while that I’ve received a bill and thought “this is less than what I was expecting,” a rare joy in these economic times. Happy holidays and thank you!
