   We had a spectacular time at Firefly and will definitely be returning. They were so accommodating with our allergies and we loved each and every dish! They had custom menus ready for us when we arrived with annotations about what we could and couldn’t eat, which I’ve never seen a restaurant do before. 5 stars!

   Literally one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. The portions were generous, the food was delicious and I went with a celiac friend who was giddy with the beer options she could have. It doesn’t feel like a gluten free restaurant it is a high end restaurant that happens to be (mostly) gf. It’s not the cheapest option but it’s worth every cent.

   Fabulous neighborhood gem with relaxed atmosphere, great staff and decor. Menu is varied and interesting and food was exceptional quality. Visitors to SF might not find this place tucked away in Diamond Heights. But if you make the trip it will be worth it!

   The rehabbed parklet is private and warm, with diner-controlled heaters as well as blankets, and a cheerful atmosphere. We were there on one of the coldest nights of the year and everyone was cosy. I continue to appreciate Firefly's dedication to accessibility in its approach to food and service. Everything was delicious and my guests had a lovely experience.

   Never disappoints. Took four friends from out of town. We all tried different foods. But the radish cake has always the best thing on the menu.

   Not a great evening at all. The Maître D wore sweats and tennis shoes, never said hello, how are you, just said our table is ready upstairs. We were exactly on time for our 7:45 reservation. Then we received drinks and an appetizer and sat around waiting for the next hour. Meanwhile several parties finished up their meals, the waiter people cleared the tables and sat new parties. 45 minutes later and all the new parties were served drinks, appetizers and meals. We were falling asleep. After 1 hour and 15 minutes our food arrived. I told the waitress it was poor taste to serve all the party's that arrived 1/2 after us before serving us. She said it was due to our large party. We had 5 people. Since when is 5 people a large party? We sat right in the middle of the upper large room, hard to miss. All night the staff kept busy running around but no one ever stopped by our table to check on us. So for the chef to think it was okay to make us wait an hour before cooking our meals, for the waitress to do nothing to to sort things out, for our meals arriving 1 hour and 15 minutes later, I can only say we were all tired, and disappointed. The food wasn't worth the hassle. My meatloaf had some artificial smoke flavoring added to it which was overwhelming and not appreciated. We live 2 blocks away and have frequented this restaurant often, but honestly, for 468.00 it would have been better to stay home and cook ourselves. Firefly used to have a great staff. We won't be recommending Firefly anymore. I am 66 years old, and this was the first time in my life I refused to leave a tip. They lost out on $80.00. I believe tips are earned, not guaranteed, and I have a low bar. Firefly was just that bad last night.

   Food and service were great! We do appreciated how the menu works for people who are omnivores, vegans, lactose-intolerant, gluten-free…and everything was DELICIOUS. We loved that everyone could find something to eat, and we could even share appetizers with restrictions. The wine list is also fantastic, loved the Chenin Blanc we ordered. Service was attentive and warm, decor is timeless. Firefly is a classic SF spot for a reason!
