Located in Fulton Market District within Chicago’s bustling West Loop, Formento’s is an Italian restaurant steeped with the bright and fresh flavors of Italy. Created as a nod to the owner’s grandmother, guests will experience an array of dishes from house-made pastas, seasonal antipasti and wood-fired fish and steak. At Formento’s, Chef David Schwartz combines new world culinary creativity with generations past. Our world-class wine program offers guests more than 300 varietals from around world.

Three private event spaces can accommodate parties of 10 to 200 guests in an intimate second floor loft overlooking Restaurant Row, featuring a private bar and amenities.

                                                                                          I went to Formento's for my birithday dinner and it was the perfect place for my party of 10. They have an upstairs space with about 5-6 round tables so it felt pretty intimate not having too many groups of people around you. The service was great! servers were attentive and organized. The food was really good. I recommend the Carbonara for entree and fritto misto for appetizer.

                                                                                          We always have amazing service and food at Formentos.This time, I had called ahead and asked the new manager, Ben to help me with delivering a surprise to my husband during our meal. They were a huge help and delivered the surprise gift to my husband perfectly. We love this restaurant for our special occasion celebrations as well as a fun date night. The vibe is perfect, the staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a great time dining with them.

                                                                                          The service was friendly and relatively fast, enjoyed that they have a sommelier as part of their staff! All the pastas were amazing, favorites were the orecchiette and short rib orzo. The side dish cauliflower was very unique, served with pepperoni and a lemon sauce- delicious! I’d highly recommend this place for a nicer dinner

Huge hits were the Hamachi Crudo, the salmon special, and the Cinque Terre cocktail. Our server was so sweet, she made great recommendations and made sure our dessert (the delightful chocolate cake) came with a birthday candle and adorable sprinkles. Thanks so much for a wonderful birthday dinner!!
