   Unless you are familiar with a lot of ingredients You likely won’t be able to make out what the dish is by the menu alone. Lack or photos on apps like Yelp made ordering a shot in the dark. My husband ordered the jamon and cheese which was bread with melted cheese in a little saucer however the cheese was difficult to work with and lumped together. I got the umami something that ended up being a glorified burger that was tasty but the only thing of what we ordered that was actually worth ordering. Their focaccia bread was hard and tasteless and a waste of $7. The host was very nice and the elevator guy was as well. The waitresses were nice but seemed a little judgey when I asked for a lemon or lime to doctor the “perfect” gin and tonic that was very gin forward which is ok, just not what I expected. The interior design and ambiance was cool.

   Small menu selection, very dark inside, horrible service and food was bad. Advise you to go somewhere else.

   How this only had a 3.9 rating on Open Table when we booked, I'll never know. The restaurant itself was absolutely unique and fantastic. It was unusually inexpensive, especially for that type of restaurant. The food was incredible. The only downside was the small portions- so think 'super fancy restaurant with small portions', but honestly I just ordered a second helping and it was great. Two of us, with drinks, under $100, including tip. We were greeted with Champaign for my wife's birthday. Once caution: the check in process is SLOW because they take you through a metal detector, get your name and ID and then send you up in an elevator two by two. Takes a bit to park in the parking garage across the street too (which is $22- city garage I think, or private). The Foundation Room is on the street level, so don't go to the big House of Blues sign and to the 3rd floor like we did. One other piece- there is NOT live music. There is dinner, then there is a separate show that is booked separately. That wasn't overly clear when I booked. BUT, as a dinner venue, it was a home run. 5.0 all the way.

   We loved the atmosphere. My husband had trouble seeing as the lights were a little too dim for him. I wish the meal would have come with one small side. However, the skirt steak was cooked to perfection and had great flavor.

   It was New Years Eve and decided to make reservations prior to the concert. My opinion it was too dark in there. As soon as we sat down every water glass on the table was dirty and had lipstick on one. Waitress had zero personality and was not very attentive. Menus for dinner were very limited. The NYE menu was a set price and set courses. It was very expensive for the amount of food. If you don’t want that there was another small menu with set courses which were not favorable. I think they wanted you to pick the more expensive NYE menu. It was our first and last time to dine there. Might be different on a regular day but first impression was not the best. This is just our experience.

   Excelente lugar , excelente atención , la comida muy buena aunque me gustaría que tuviera un poco más de las porciones , pero estuvo delicioso, la foccacia , jamón serrano , las bebidas un poco pequeñas pero divinas , el concierto se escuchaba super bien , los baños limpios y la tencion fue lo mejor , todo super lindo la decoración parecida a la del set de friends la serie , quedé enamorada y el valet parking solo 13$ , el 100% recomendado y volvería a ir sin duda , esperando otro concierto de rock en español

   EVERYONE was extremely rude to us. The only friendly person was the host, Rocky! But from the door greeter, to the waitress, to the bar tenders they was awful, very rude. We will never go back to the Foundation room in Houston or recommend it to anyone.

    Benita is an amazing server but the whole staff from Rocky greeting you at the door to Ric popping over to check on you throughout the meal. Don’t come here if you’re in a rush to eat. It’s an experience that can’t be rushed because you are made to feel like you’re at home with family and friends. Food is always great and drinks are fun and have plenty of alcohol. Best thing is that you get a nice relaxing dinner and, if you have tickets to House of Blues, you get direct access to the venue from the Foundation Room and no lines. Check them out for dinner before the show, or any activity in that area. You won’t regret it.
