Very good food. A little noisy, but it was a busy Saturday night. Service a little slow, but again it was a busy night. Perhaps more staff would help.

The ambiance and view of the marina were spectacular. We had the halibut special with lobster risotto. It was a phenomenal dish! A lot of places with beautiful views don’t always have the best food. Not Fresh Salt, The food is great. Kudos to the chef.

I enjoy Fresh Salt at least once or twice a year as it is not close proximity to my residence. I usually dine in for dinner, but was in the area and wanted to go for lunch. My friends, family and I have been going the last 10 years. I have never had such an experience as this. The waitress struggled with understanding our dietary restrictions. We struggled to understand with her strong accent. She had some confusion with the accommodations requested for gluten-free substitutions, but in the end, it did come out accurately, so did the dairy free request. The oysters and clams that I ordered were not as fresh as they usually are not sure if it is because it’s early in the season, but they lacked flavor and freshness. The chicken salad I ordered sounded wonderful described on the menu, but was lacking in flavor. The tots and chips were scrumptious. The glass of wine was delicious, and though the description of the dessert seemed inaccurate with what I thought I was getting, overall it tasted amazing! There was a different type of worker environment than I am used to seeing at night . They seemed very inexperienced, not overly friendly and lacked simple etiquette with asking if we were done with our food before taking it away and then having to be told, I’m sorry we are not finished. I will not let this one experience stop me from going back but if I find the same outcome during dinner than it may be my last.

The food was well prepared, and the atmosphere is quiet and comfortable. However, we were kept waiting for almost 15 minutes in an almost empty restaurant on a Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock while the hostess battled on the phone incompetently with someone who had a reservation in the future. I just want to reiterate that we were waiting standing right in front of her for 15 minutes and she kept burbling on the phone. There was hardly anybody else in the restaurant and she would not let us take our seats. Our martinis were shaken with some other ingredient – something sweet and disgusting, which polluted the taste. We have eaten here before, and these problems were creeping in, but now they’ve really taken over the institution. In addition, we had been seated for ANOTHER over 15 minutes before our water order was taken, and then waited ANOTHER 15 minutes before our bread arrived (actually, I had to get up and urge the waitress to provide the item, my third request), which then magically appeared in one minute. Therefore the whole thing was sort of spoiled. I suspect that understaffing is a problem, but I really suspect that under management is the real problem.

Fantastic food. They honored my request for a table by the water and brought a candle and chocolate birthday plaque for our celebratory dinner. I was thrilled that they tool the time to actually read my requests in the booking notes. Thank you!! The food was over the top good. We shared the meatballs for an app, I had the special halibut over lobster risotto - to die for! My mate had the lobster roll so stuffed with lobster , he had trouble keeping it inside the roll.

Dishes were overpriced but you’re really just paying for the view. Was charged $200 on a $100 bill, then credited back then charged again $200 - and not once told by the waitress, only noticed when I checked my checking account the next morning. Salmon burger would have been better if it were an actual filet and not a mashed up like a crab cake, sides were small. Wouldn’t return due to price/quality of the food.

We were seated in the enclosed patio area, which was quite noisy. I had Caesar salad, which was excellent! One of the best I have had. I also had butter nut squash ravioli, which was tasty . Our dessert was brownie and Gelato. A little too much whipped cream and not enough brownie. Overall, a very good meal.

We were not told our table was on the patio. We were there for my husband’s birthday and it was unexpected. The chairs were not comfortable. Food and service were top notch
