   I'll start by saying I have had amazing meals here before. This one missed the mark in a few ways. First, the table they sat me at was a half booth - so one side had a booth seat, the other a chair. While that would have been okay, the next table was literally two inches from mine. That's not acceptable. I would rather have not been able to get a reservation at all than to accept that kind of seating. I was able to move, but it started the meal off rough. Then, the pace of the meal was way too slow, especially since I let the server know I was in a hurry. You would think if they are trying to use every square inch of space that they would also welcome the opportunity to turn a table quickly. Not last night. Every step was a significant wait. And it was an easy order. Just one glass of wine, one big hunk of meat, and one side dish. Then, while most of the meat was great, there was a large piece of gristle that rendered a portion un-eatable, and it was mis-shaped, which made the majority of the 14 ounces perfectly cooked, but about 4 ounces pretty well done due to change in thickness. I know the ratings I offer probably seem harsh for these offences, but this is a legendary steakhouse, and they charge accordingly. I expect better and hope for a better experience next time.

   The service is absolutely fantastic! Was my favorite part. Food was great too, don’t get me wrong, but service really stands out. Can’t wait to go back.

   Both food and atmosphere were top shelf… we were surprisingly greeted with a lunch menu . (Till 4) and a three course meal with a wide array of choices…. We both had the 10oz filet with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes…. AWESOME!

   Loved, loved, LOVED this restaurant! The service was wonderful. The staff made us comfortable and made us feel appreciated. I liked the special touch of bringing my granddaughter a special cake for her graduation! The food was delicious, too. I highly recommend this experience.

   I did not care for the steak seasoning. Clams and sides were very good. Service was adequate but not exceptional. Restaurant is very, very noisy with tables very close together. Frankly, there are better steakhouse options.

   Just stunning. Beautiful food, exceptional service and good value (lunch menu) I can’t fault it in anyway whatsoever. Our 3rd holiday in New York and the best meal we’ve ever had here by some distance

   Amazing service and amazing food. Adam, our server was wonderful! The steak melts in your mouth. Crab cakes were amazing! Green salad was on point. The date and walnut bread to start could have been the best bread I’ve ever tasted!

    Superb food Excellent service Ambience wonderful We were made to feel like we were the only customers in the restaurant Tudor and Mervet were first class and professional servers.
