Overall we were glad we went. Christmas means the prices were high thus the rating. Food was very good. Turkey dinner flavour excellent, presentation three stars. Desert could have been better. Plum tart was cold and doughy. Service and ambiance were good. The rest of the meal excellent. Considering we were there near the end of the day on Christmas, the staff did an excellent job. Thank you.

Really awful food. Very low level motorway pub roast kind of thing. Re heated, pudding tasted of fridge, some so fuel it was inedible, I feel totally robbed - as it cost a fortune!

Really appreciate all the staff for their christmas service and the food was really great. However, for the price of their christmas meal (£125pp), we did expect better service. No one came to introduce the menu or order water/drinks for a good amount of time despite us being one of the few tables there earlier tonight. We poured all the water and three bottles of wine ourselves. So yes, wasn’t impressed because of the price and the fact that the staff were simply doing their job but nothing much beyond. But was a good night, thanks for accommodating us on christmas night. Hope the staff had a restful night after.

I’d heard about the restaurant and as being of German parentage decided to take my sister, niece and her partner for Christmas lunch. A really wonderful experience. The staff were pleasant and attentive, the food was served without delay and I have to say the portions and the flavours were delicious, just as I remember from my mother’s cooking and all reasonably priced. Lovely venue and I would recommend to friends.

Not the best evening. Lift was out of order again (I'd complained about it, last time we were there, as my friend has mobility issues - so once again we struggled with the stairs.) Service was poor. We waited quite a while for our cocktails, which I don't mind. But then had to ask to place our dinner order, which came in reasonable time. Though the wine didn't - again, we had to ask for it. Our server then seemed to disappear entirely. Noone came to see how the meal was, if we were enjoying it or anything. I went to the toilet early on, which needed attention - I noticed no paper in the cubicle, for instance, except on the floor. When I went back at the end of the evening, it was worse. No paper in any of the cubicles. It was unpleasant. Not what you expect for £75 a head. And the place was not busy. I wonder if the restaurant is failing and will soon go out of business.

Buzzing venue for Christmas and nice Xmas tree Booked a table for 9pm Ordered the mulled wine but somehow they had run out and would not make more Appreciate the staff want to get home but please don’t take bookings if you can’t even offer customers a hot drink at the end! Food average, but ambience was good. Nice sommelier
