   Overall we enjoyed trying them for the first time. However, the service was very slow. We had allowed 90 minutes and barely made it out to catch our show, even after informing them twice about our timing needs.

   We have had several great meals at Granada Bistro, but sadly our last visit was disappointing. I tasted 3 out of 4 of the entrees in our group and they were all under-seasoned and underwhelming. The cocktails and ambiance are great, but I can no longer recommend for dinner.

   We are driving all over CA for spring break and are staying at the Granada Hotel while in SLO. I booked a reservation on Open Table before we arrived for the Granada Bistro and I’m soooo happy I did! This is, by far, the best meal we’ve had on vacation. Our entire experience was PHENOMENAL. Chad and Kyla were our servers and they were amazing. I’m vegetarian and asked if the chef could make the brussel sprout appetizer without bacon and BOY, did he deliver!!!! It was incredibly delicious from the appetizer to the last bite of my meal. I took my time eating the winter squash farrotto (think risotto, but it’s made with farro)… because I didn’t want to leave a bite on my plate, it was so good! The chick pea fritter appetizer was also INCREDIBLE! They’re like the best falafel you’ve had, on crack… amazeballs!!! My daughter had the burger and loved it. Honestly, the service, ambiance (we sat outside by the heaters), and food were INCREDIBLE. I’ve already told 6 people about our meal and it’s the same night! Go here if you love amazing food & great service… you won’t be disappointed! The chef is wonderful! Marking this restaurant as one of my favorites! 💗

   lovely to experience all around. The service was just right, both with our server and her trainee. Food was absolutely delicious- we had the salmon and fried chicken special and shared. The cocktails and wine selection were sublime. We sat at a banquette on the 1st floor and seats were comfy and noise level not too high. We would definitely come back.

   The ambiance is upscale, and the space is quite small. The tables and outdoor heaters felt a bit too crowded and close together, and the servers had to be highly imaginative to go around to service certain tables. The lighting and sculptures make this seem like a slice of old-world charm in the middle of San Luis Obispo. Our server could not have been better and was very knowledgeable of the offerings and even the upscale wine we brought (decanting $20). My order was a very flat plate of "winter squash" but I was not able to find or taste the Kabocha it featured. My entree was what I based the ratings on. I had mentioned three times (in my opentable reservation note to the restaurant, in the follow-up conversation with the hostest and with the server, that it was my wife's birthday, but nothing was brought out to celebrate it. We'll be back, and hopefully will have the same server.
