   We very much enjoyed our lunch at Grumbles. It’s a lovely, friendly, Service was quick and efficient and the food was great. Would thoroughly recommend.

   All the staff looked very miserable and uninterested. We only had bread and olives to start with and had barely eaten any when our main course arrived. Served by kitchen staff. I really don’t know how the fish and chips my husband had could be cooked that quick. My chicken fricasse was ok but obviously precooked and reheated. Dessert menu was given and staff member didn’t even speak just put on table. We decided to pay and leave. Took our bottle of wine with us. When I booked online it asks if this was an occasion, it was our 25th anniversary. That was not mentioned. We have been to Grumbles many times over the past 20 odd years when we visit London yearly. Will never return again.

   We had a very enjoyable experience eating at Grumbles. I would recommend it very much. Not high end, but very relaxed and pleasant service. Nice wait staff. Food was good, basic but very well prepared and presented. Reasonably priced and we were glad we ate there, would eat there again.

   Have been going to Grumbles for decades. Unique restaurant in that part of London especially as Victoria area has transformed Grumbles retains individuality lost in other establishments.

    Coming back after about 20 years. Service and ambience great. Food a bit more basic and not as good as back in the day, but assume that cost pressures are high! Felt like it was expensive for what it was, but perhaps location driven
