   The steak and Ale pie was amazing not enough mash potato in my opinion, the gravy was good but very rich. One thing lacking was veg as part of the price and had to pay extra for it which was nothing special. My partner had the lasagna which she felt was too sweet and the ox cheek in the lasagna lacked flavour. The garlic bread that came with it was ok. We added chips as well and all in all we both enjoyed our time here.

   Excellent food- excellent service - had beef roast dinner which had so much meat and gravy was amazing - steak pie was 2nd meal which had so much meat in it and again the gravy was amazing

   Very below average food for price with mean minimal allocation of meat on the Sunday roast. It would barely cover palm of hand and just 1cm thick at most. Kitchen has got lazy as a tourist trap. Gave it an opportunity to put right, but was told from the kitchen that this was the allocation so I sent it back for refund. Also, the plate was cold when it arried and the food tasted bland. Hotel location, rooms and overall ambience good, but it's kitchen is the weak link. Time to start sacking a chef or two. There are much better food options close to this hotel at much better value.

   Delicious food and wonderful service. If you’ve got the time, wait for a meat pie. Absolutely delish! Good beer and spirits.

    Great service loved the ambiance and history of the building We ordered the steak and ale pie 🥧 it’s cooked from fresh and took 30 minutes to cook but well with the wait. Best pie I’ve tasted and the gravy is even better a 10/10 experience !!!
