   Our Lexington dinner go to has been Bistro on Main, so we were delighted with our dining experience, the food, the service and outstanding pianist playing Elton John, Billy Joel and other songs we requested!

   Haywood’s is probably the best place in Lexington for fine dining. Lots of positives. Only negative is a small menu. Highly recommended.

   Service is poor. It took 15 minutes for a host even come to the front to seat us, even though we had a reservation. The server took forever to come to our table about drinks. We ordered as soon as we could, but the appetizer didn’t come until 45 minutes later. The steak and eggs had about 4 tiny strips of steak. We didn’t have silverware when they brought our food out, then it took them awhile to bring silverware (this happened the last time we went). The food was ok, not worth the price and the wait. There are much better restaurants in Lexington.

   Haywoods would like to apologize for the poor service you received.I am not sure what happened with the staff but be assured this is not what our guest normally receive or should accept.    Kevin and the service was fantastic. The food was our favorite that we tried in the area and the gentleman playing the piano was so talented. Had a great night.

   Haywood’s was strictly ok. If you are looking for a fine dining experience I would consider looking elsewhere. The broccolini was under cooked, the crispy potatoes were soggy and the steak was underwhelming no flavor no crust, bland! On the other hand the Caesar salad and wine was good. The $14 dollar tiny piece of baklava was atrocious.

   Food was very good and prepared well. However, the menu has changed and requires ordering an entree and having a starter. Having a couple appetizers and options for a dinner salad would be nice (instead of requiring an entree order).

   Thanks for your feedback. The week you were visiting was a very busy week for Lexington. Haywoods had a prefixe menu that had been prepared for that week only to accommodate the huge influx of people to the community. We normally have many appetizer's. We are glad you enjoyed the food and hope you can visit another time for our regular menu.

   Both meals were delicious. The seasonal salad was a great value; there was enough for us to share. Quiet, but we were there on a night without live music. Will return again.
