Instead, I opted for the beet & strawberry salad and the Ibérico pork entree. The salad was ok - lacked a good dressing and was a bit flat. The pork was good, but the preparation is now different from what used to be on their menu. The menu indicated that apple mostarda was included and I remember from past experiences, that was very good. However, this time, I only tasted pork that was a bit overdone and the cannellini beans that were overdressed with an oily sauce of some sort. I don't think I'd order this dish again. My husband did love this Blue Fin tuna special and the lemon tart served for dessert was delicious (yes, we shared that one!!) We don't often go to Herb & Wood because frankly, they are a bit pricey. However, my husband was so happy with his selection that I think that Blue Fin tuna will bring us back again! Also, I must say that service was outstanding. They employ so many people - you barely take a swallow of water before someone is at your table refilling your glass! Everyone is very friendly and well trained in dealing with the public. I had the roasted branzino and this dish was really outstanding. Tender and flaky, the crispiness of the speck (as skin) was very unexpected. I also loved the complexity of the olive and herb tapenade. My dinner companion had the beef cheek tagine with the recommended side of pita. Lovely savory dish. Beef was, again, a bit on the drier side. The yogurt in the middle added a nice creaminess and acidity. What was also interesting was the pillowy pita. I have to say, this was a nice interpretation that I was not use to and was an excellent vehicle to soak up the sauce. My companion and I also shared the cappalletti with braised rabbit, parmesan cream, English peas, and mint. Had a hard time finding the flavor in this dish. Did not taste the rabbit or mint at all. Very one-note dish that I regretted ordering. Service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the loud environment really made any interaction with her or my dinner companion disappointing. Total cost of meal for two including cocktails, bottle of wine and food, approx $300. Would I go back? We were sitting on the indoor patio side with the open roof. It was a perfect night for it. The restaurant wasn't loud and the service by Troy and food were simply divine. Every dish was fantastic. The zucchini was a seasonal dish and I HIGHLY recommend it. I didn't know zucchini could be this good. Lastly we ordered the strawberry souffle for dessert. I chose to sit at the bar and the staff were fantastic. This was my first time at Herb & Wood and I wanted a full experience. I’ve been here before and genuinely enjoyed it, which is why I chose to bring my mom for a special brunch. Unfortunately, this time was a letdown.
The special menu felt rushed and lacked creativity—basic options that didn’t reflect the quality I’ve come to expect from this place. When you’re promoting a themed or limited-time menu, it should feel like an upgrade, not a downgrade.
Really hoping this was just an off day, because I know the team can do better.

We came for Mother's Day Brunch with a pre-fixe menu. Some options were great (crab cakes, pork belly, pulled pork hash) but the vegetarian options seemed to be underwhelming for some in our party. The caulini could have been a side dish rather than a main. The roses given out to the mothers at the end of the meal was a great finishing touch, though!
