LOCALLY MINDED. RESPONSIBLY RAISED. MICHELIN RECOMMENDED.

Housed in two of Vancouver’s most iconic buildings, Homer St Cafe and Bar is a contemporary restaurant set in the base of the historic Homer Building and the Beasley building in Vancouver’s Yaletown district.
Classic comfort cooking takes center stage thanks to a fire engine red rotisserie that roasts all manner of proteins. It’s chicken that’s the star here: served in quarter, half or whole portions, accompanied by classic sides basted in jus.
A decidedly adventurous wine and cocktail list rounds out the menu. The restaurant features two spaces that consist of an open concept kitchen “Chef’s Bar” where one can get up close and personal with the culinary team, a semi private dining room with reclaimed factory windows, and bespoke seating complemented by antique tiling.

Loved our dinner last night for my neighbour’s birthday. It was a little loud so hard to hear but the food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Top notch.

Amanda was our server and she was spectacular— attentive with great advice on the dishes. The food was wonderful and was well paced. And the room is so welcoming. It’s such a pleasure to have a meal in a restaurant that is professionally run. Thank you for making our evening so memorable.

Homer street cafe brunch always amazing. Their Benny’s are the best but sad to see the potatoes change. Tator tots now served with the bennys over the sliced potatoes. Those were the best. Hopefully they come back.

Phenomenal food, drinks, and service. Everyone we interacted with were so friendly and professional. Would 100% come back and re-order exactly what we had tonight. It was THAT good. We talked about our meals and drinks the whole walk back to hotel. Kudos!!

Brunch options were great; interesting and wide ranging for all eaters. Food quality and preparation was stellar. A side of bacon was VERY generous! And our service was terrific. The only downside was the noise level - super super loud. And we were sitting in the quiet section! I like a vibrant atmosphere so that’s the downside but we were with family that have some soft voices so it was tough at times (but not really the restaurant’s fault) but be aware that it isn’t your best option for older folks with quieter voices and some hearing challenges. Paul the waiter was EXCELLENT.

Mostly as expected Bistro experience. Had the squash dish which was very unbalanced, and included way too much prosciutto compared to squash/ toppings. Also ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs, which included 3 ribs. Pigs have 15-18 ribs, so 1/2 rack should be 7 or so at a minimum. Would have also been happy with 5, but 3 is egregious (cost $35+)
