Chart a course to Huggo’s for the finest in surfside dining. Dine just inches above the waves on an open-air lanai. Experience tender beef or prime rib, or try our exquisite island-fresh seafood. And by the way, when we say fresh we mean fresh! Ahi, mahi mahi, ono and other delectable Hawaiian fish are delivered directly to our back door by local fishermen who caught them just hours earlier.

Enjoy artfully prepared selections also influenced by Pacific Rim and Mediterranean styles.

Thanks to Huggo’s on the water location, and its commitment to “aloha” service, diners at Huggo’s will savor influences from Japanese, Chinese and Southeast Asian ports of call. This family owned restaurant has become an island tradition since offering its first seafood platter 45 years ago.

Huggo’s on the Rocks, our next door neighbor, is the perfect location for oceanside cocktails and light fare.

Steaks a little dry. Pasta a little under cooked. Fish dish needed a little more sauce. Clams were great.

Our server Renee was outstanding, friendly and made us feel special. From start to finish she had us taken care of in the most hospitable way. The food was good, not great. Also, don’t know why a lovely delicate kefir rice was paired with cajun seasoned fish- after a few bites couldn’t tell the difference. Atmosphere is magical. Try dining at sunset. Just stunning. Cocktails meh.

Too loud, waitresses was not attentive to our table. Food was ok but in my opinion over priced.

We have eaten here several times and it’s gotten worse each time. My wife and son have a gluten allergy which is always carefully explained and wait staff and hostess and given specific details about what can and can’t happen. The past 3 dining experiences almost led to catastrophic health issues if not for us noticing bread included with a gluten free meal or at the last minute an assistant to the server grabbing the dish off the table before my wife took a bite of regular pasta (not the gluten free pasta ordered). Sadly this was probably our last time at Huggos which had been our favorite restaurant on the island. The lack of care and mediocrity might be fine for some but it’s not good enough for my family and their health...

We had the kahakai and was drowning in broth couldn't taste the fish or hearts of palms. Over priced for food. Took long time to get food. Best seat on the beach though breaking water on rocks and sunset. Huggos on the rocks better value. Drink and watch sunset

Menu and fish selection seemed limited. I felt a little pricey for good food but nothing spectacular about it. Ate here 2 years ago and had a better menu and a better food quality. The seating ambience is great but still doesn't make up for average food. Our waitress was attentive and did great.
