An outstanding restaurant with fantastic ambiance and the “old Las Vegas” feel. The service and food were amazing. We can’t wait to return with our friends.

Husband had the big cut of prime rib. It was over 1” thick and quite large. I had the seafood trio—salmon, 2 mediocre sized scallops. And 2 large shrimp. We both had the garlic infused mashed potatoes and asparagus. Service was very good though I had to ask for boxes for our leftover food. A small plate of dessert comes with the meals. It consists of 2 chocolate covered strawberries, a small cup of mousse and apricots and figs.

Our waiter could not have been bothered to provide the most basic of aspects of his job. He acted pretentious and annoyed that we would even dine at the place. I will never return and will steer everyone who will listen clear from this relic and mausoleum. The decor literally hasn’t changed in over 25 plus years since I’ve been there. It’s just tired.

The price of $108 for a filet mignon is way over priced. I don’t mind paying for expensive dinners when it’s worth the price. This was a special occasion and we wanted something special. However, the $108 steak was just mediocre, the $40 side salad was just salad. The service for an expensive dinner you would expect to be outstanding, nope. Our waiter ignored us for 30 minutes, we would have ordered more wine, we would have ordered dessert. By the time we saw our waiter water glasses were empty and we just wanted to leave. I’ve been to Hugo’s years ago, it’s my opinion they have gone downhill. I wish we would have gone to STK instead.

The cocktail lounge area of the restaurant needs a waiter. If you are early for your reservation and would like to grab a drink, you have to find a table, then walk up to the bar between people and try to get a drink. Once at your table, the staff is exceptional—old school all the way! I like how all entrees include the amazing table-tossed salad, a starch, and vegetables, with a chocolate-covered strawberry to end. Dress up, don't be in a hurry, and enjoy the night! Yes, it is in the 4 Queens Hotel and Casino, but the dining transports you into another era.
