Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House opened its doors in February 1997 in the heart of Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood, next to sister restaurant Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse. Over 20 years after owners Hugo Ralli and Steve Lombardo set out to open the city's finest seafood restaurant, Hugo's continues to be the destination for premier east and west coast oysters, crudos, frog legs, lobster and seasonal fish and shellfish, in addition to Gibsons Prime Angus and Gibsons Grassfed Australian steaks. An extensive wine list, classic cocktail list and selection of impressive signature desserts accompany the menu of fresh seafood, steaks and chops. After a couple of less than stellar experiences since COVID, Hugo's finally came through. Wonderful dinner with friends for restaurant week. Everything from cocktails through dessert were great. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. We all had a wonderful night.

Food and service were all wonderful, one steak was slightly overdone. They made it up to us by comping our desserts. Gas a great time celebrating my dad’s birthday.

great service, was a cold night and ended up with a table in the walk way area. the table next to us kept adjusting the heater for their comfort and in turn made my table a little chilly. Will still come back

Food was excellent. Service was good but servers were way over stretched but did their best. 'Outside patio' was fine accept when someone exited in back-then cold air came rushing in-need a way to prevent that.

My husband and I ate there with three other couples on a Saturday night. Service was good. Everyone enjoyed their dinners. We had salads and soups first. Entrees ordered were chicken Milanese, fish and ships, tuna poke, sushi, small steak, and trout.
