   The oysters was delicious. I had the catfish and collards. First it came out with the wrong side and then it came out placed on top of the collards which was in a bunch of juice there the fried fish was soaked inside the juice and the waiter ask me did I want a spoon to eat with which was weird because I never ate collars with a spoon but after trying to eat it I quickly understand why he offered it. This is called crispy catfish it was suppose to be crispy not soggy. Did I not mention the collards taste like glory collards in a can nothing worth 30.00. This restaurant is very expensive but does not live up to the hype. Definitely not worth the price or the hour drive it took us to drive one way to this restaurant.

   Food and service is reliably excellent at Hugo’s! From the host to bartender to waiter…to chef A+! My favorites: oysters, flounder, shrimp stuffed with crab meat…bread pudding…yum!

   We love Hugo’s. We’ve been coming here for over 10 years. The food, service, and atmosphere are all great and exactly what my wife and I look for when we decide to have a special night out. The oysters are always on point - we always get the combo plate and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend you give Hugo’s a try.

   Hugo’s is always great…great food, laid back, good service. Valentine’s Day dinner was next level. Hubby & I arrived for reservation, hostess gave me a red rose, they offered delicious themed drinks. The food was amazing and the chocolate mousse dessert was as beautiful as delicious. No rush, just great food and vibe❤️

   It was absolutely the best meal ever. Chargrilled and raw oysters were so good! And the gumbo. We highly recommend and will return soon.

   Best grilled oysters I’ve have ever had and the is including New Orleans. The flounder was delicious and well seasoned. Great place.

    Here are a few constructive complaints... 1 - Don't make every parking spot valet... especially when you spots are all visible and wrapped around the side and back of your building. Arrived early, asked Valet to let me pull my car into one of the many open spots, and give me the valet ticket. He refused. Crazy. Why do I need a sweaty young twenty year old dropping into my car seat, when there are plenty of open spots. 2 - When my dish arrived, crab stuffed shrimp... I ate one shrimp which was completely cold. Service apologized too dish back and said chef was working on the fix. Dish return, the same plate, after sitting under a heating lamp for five minutes. It was obvious due to a space missing and the food/shrimp count. No apology, no nominal discount to dish on bill, no new plating completely... just a warmed over cold plate of shellfish. This was very disappointing Last time I visited Hugo was before Covid. This past Friday we decided to give it a try. Would I return? Not based on these experiences.
