              Hala Grill is one of our go tos. We’ve never had a bad meal, the service is great and if you get there early enough in evening you catch a spectacular sunset

              Usually very good but this time the fish was way overcooked and dry and the waiter forgot to put our salad order in so it took a long time. Not giving up on this place , the waiter corrected the issues.

              We made reservations but still had to wait. We were seated in a noisy area near the kitchen despite there being much nicer seats outdoors. I had the coconut seafood chowder, which was fine. My wife had a mushroom ravioli and complained that it was oily. Perhaps we’ve been spoiled by the amazing restaurants in the area, but I’d rate it “meh”.

              3 of the 4 dinners were great. The Mahi Mahi was not cooked properly. Dry and just under whelming. For the price there is far better on the island. Service was good as they were busy.

              Average touristy beach bar but the food was actually really good. Service was fast. Everything was seasoned well. Live music, warm sun, beach breeze. Paradise.

              First night on island and Hula Grill did not disappoint. Becca was a fantastic server. Coming from Ohio, it takes 13 hours to get to Maui. To say we weee tired and jet lagged would be an understatement. Great experience and food. We have been coming to Hula Grill for years and the consistency is well intact. The Barefoot Bar menu is great too, casual fare but delish!

              I don’t think my martini had a full shot in it - I had 2 and didn’t even feel it. But the pan seared ahi with Asain noodles was excellent. It’s very popular now so you could be eating in a tent in the back instead of with your toes in the sand in the front.

              This is a fun and active restaurant with live music (scheduled), a variety of delicious food and adult beverages. We enjoyed excellent service from Roy, our server, who provided recommendations, stayed attentive and made us feel welcomed. If you’re looking for a quiet, romantic setting, this is not it. It is surely a busy place so I recommend making a reservation. I also recommend giving this restaurant a try!
