   We are locals and visit Il Cortile often usually for special occasions. The food is always delicious and the service impeccable. There is no better restaurant in town!!

   WOW! What a great meal. My wife and I shared the grilled octopus, salad misto, veal chop and restaurant made pistachio ice cream not to mention ( but I will) a couple of manhattans!! Every course, including the simple salad, elicited oohs & aahs. We will definitely go back again… assuming we can get a reservation:).

   We had reservations for 4 that were made a month ago but we were seated in a makeshift front screened porch area. The entire evening was under whelming.

   This is the best restaurant in Paso Robles. The service and food is amazing. No matter what we order, it’s always delicious.

   I have been here 3 times just for the truffle pasta! It taste just like the dish we had in Italy. My companions loved their food too and we appreciate the restaurant accommodating our party of 5. Service was excellent.

    We really enjoyed out special night out at Il Cortile. Server was great, enviroment was lovely -- we sat outside in a nice two top near the street. My partner and I shared all the dishes so here is a review of each as we loved some of them and others we just liked (I'm a tough grader). Crostini with burrata and carmelized fennel -- absolutely delish, no improvements can be made to make it more perfect. A+ Quail -- Both hubs and I thought that the "stuffing" of the quail would taste better if there was a bit of sweet (think figs, dried cherries etc) along with the pancetta and perhaps a bit of grain (farro? couscous?) the stuffing was just one dimensional and salty for the delicate bird. B- Mixed Green Salad -- Nicely dressed - not sure if it was mixed greens, our was arugla (which I love). A Paparedellie with wild boar -- we were in Italy a few months ago and ate this dish often. The pasta was delish, but the sauce seemed to have a sweetness and spice that was not our favorite (as compared to our recent experience. Pehaps it was the sweetness of the onion or carrot, but I think it could use some acid to balance. B A great special ocassion restuarant. Will definitely go back and look forward to trying other dishes
