White mushroom risotto and the Fusilli Bucati was amazing. Servers were attentive in a very busy, very cozy atmosphere. Reservations are key, but they did accommodate walk ins.

Great experience! We had a reservation following a Broadway show and arrived early. They had no problem taking us early and gave us a beautiful table right by the street. The weather was lovely and the doors were open to the outside. Service and food were both excellent. Will definitely come back next time we see a show.

Great food. We were celebrating my friend’s birthday which we mentioned. The server David was very nice and friendly. However, as the restaurant filled up we realized he was the inly waiter serving everyone. We had to wait a long time when we need something else. He was pretty busy and stressed trying to keep up. I felt bad that he didn’t have any help! We were there lunch and a show. They also didn’t do anything special for the birthday celebration, which wax a bit disappointing.

The staff seemed unprepared for the pre-theater rush. Salad was pretty good but overdressed. Took three requests to get my drink. Pasta was overcooked and uninteresting. Too many good choices even in the theater district to eat mediocre food. I won’t return.

Below is an email I sent to the restaurant I waited a week, but never received a response. I will never dine here again. I dined at your establishment last night and I want to express my disappointment. Service was severely lacking. We were greeted by who I assume was the manager around 5:50pm. We were assured we would be able to eat and get to the theater in time for a 7pm curtain call. We placed our order from the prix fixe as soon as the server arrived. Sadly, things fell apart from there. The salads arrived but the food runner tried to serve them to the table next to us. That should have alerted me things would only get worse. My mother’s entree arrived at 6:21. I waited 5 minutes before I had to flag down the manager to ask when my entree would arrive. It was finally delivered at 6:31 - 10 minutes after the first entree arrived. I specifically requested the mahi mahi be cooked rare - it was well done. At this point, I was so irritated that I didn’t want to deal with waiting longer for my meal to be properly cooked. I took a few bites and requested a to-go container in less than 5 minutes. We needed to allow enough time for dessert. Once our entree plates were removed, the server asked if we were ready for our bill. We still had not been served dessert! At 6:45 our desserts still had not arrived. I had to find our server, request our desserts be packed in a to-go container and handed her a credit card. I hate being rushed to eat and that is exactly what happened. I have been working in the service industry as a server in NYC for 15 years. The lack of attention to detail and service at your establishment is severe. Our server clearly was embarrassed and gave a half hearted apology. That was not enough. The manager was avoiding our table and never came to apologize or acknowledge the problems. And as we were leaving, the host did not even acknowledge us. No “good bye” or “thanks for dining here.”

It was a nice place for dinner with my grandson. We were able to get a reservation and were seated immediately. The menu had enough choices that we were both pleased. The only downside was when he wanted gelato for dessert. Apparently something was wrong with their freezer and they didn’t have any so we ended on a bit of a sad note…

This little restaurant reminds me of the street cafés in my nonna's hometown in Italy. The bolognese was excellent, though I thought the penne alla vodka was a little overdone. I prefer my pasta al dente, and the sauce was not as creamy as I like. The flavor, however, was very good. The lemon vinaigrette on the salad was fabulous! This is a very good little spot with very good food at a very good price!
