   Excellent location, food, and service! We had brunch for four for a birthday. The hostess was friendly and helpful and even set up our flowers and champagne with ice bucket before we sat down at our table. Highly recommend!

   I have been to the Barley Sheaf numerous times over the past decade and have always had fabulous service and food. Unfortunately, the same was not true for this visit. Overall, the food was beautifully plated and overall good, with some hits and some misses. The foie gras and the beet salad were fantastic as was the duck. The tuna tartare was just ok. The biggest disappointment were the scallops; they were rubbery and over cooked, and the rest of the dish was extremely salty. I had two bites of the dish and that was all I could do. Sadly, the service was terrible. Our servers came across as very inexperienced. We asked two questions about the menu that were basic that the server could not answer. The servers came by to drop off food and clear plates that was all. They never filled the wine or water glasses, and we had to ask for another bottle of water 3 times. The server did not ask about the food or question why full plates of food were being cleared. If they would have asked, we would have shared the problems with the food, but the server did not seem to have any interest. The worst was they put us in a small room off the dining room which had a door to the kitchen area. Staff routinely went in and out of the door directly behind us. After the first 10 times we asked what was going on as each time someone went in/out the door they would brush up against one of the diners. They gave us some excuse why they needed to do it but never stopped. The constant interruption became comical, and I started counting how many times someone came in/out the door. After 100 interruptions (and only the 2nd course) I stopped counting. Overall, a very disappointing evening.

   Thank you to everyone Especially Ally,Melissa, master chief's, and the gentlemen who fixed our tv wires (you rock)!! Everyone at Barley Sheaf Inn was extremely kind and very personable, easy to talk with, and making our stay wonderful. It was a pleasure meeting everyone. Our first time stay here was way above what we expected. If you are debating about this place, you won't be disappointed. 🥂🍾

   The food is extraordinary. We stayed in a lovely cottage with a fireplace that was perfect for the rainy, cold weather. All requests were immediately dealt with by a variety of warm and friendly staff members.

   We always enjoy having a meal, special, holiday, or with friends at Barley Sheaf farm. Last night’s Valentines Day dinner was no exception. The 4 courses were superbly described by our waiter and when the dishes were presented, we were impressed. We will be back to enjoy another delicious meal very soon.

   Warm and inviting dining room in a beautiful setting. Excellent, friendly and attentive staff. Food is complex and pleases a discriminating, sophisticated diner.  The pace of the meal was pleasing, never rushed.

    Every experience here is superb. From the warm hospitality when you enter the space through the dessert course the staff is excellent. The food is even better it’s as if you are tasting art! Each course is curated with the most exquisite ingredients.
