    We've been going to JGilberts for many years. It seems they have achieved the perfect mix of food selections. We had a party of six and all agreed that every item they had was excellent. The fixed price menu is great. Try the Australian rack of lamb. Drink and wine selection is great as well. Service was excellent as well.

    Would not recommend if you are used to high end steakhouses. Everything was just very -eh- The Mac & Cheese had no cheese?? Corn & Bacon was drowning in liquid - gross Steaks were very chewy

    Terrible experience. One member of our party didn’t get his dinner. Waited 15 mins for food to arrive. Waiter said manager would be over, never came. Offered desserts (almost everyone’s meals came w a dessert) - took another 30 mins to get dessert. We won’t be back.

    Had not been to J. Gilbert’s for several years (we now live across the river in MD). We had a very nice meal. The place was hopping, but our service was prompt and staff was very friendly, especially our waiter Brian; noise level was not a problem, even with all of the surrounding tables occupied. Nice beer and wine choices and a lot to choose from on the menu. Valet service, which is a must cuz that parking lot is always full. Definitely recommend.

    When we entered the lobby we were greeted by very professional yet also very fun hostess. We had drink in bar while waiting for our guests, very attentive to our order. When we were seated for dinner the environment was very relaxed, pleasant, the noise level was good, the waiters were very attentive, polite and accommodating. The food was delicious. We really enjoyed our evening at J. Gilberts. Will definitely go back.

    I really enjoy going to J Gilberts. The food and drinks are excellent as is the waitstaff. I marked down from 5 to 4 stars because the food came much too fast. I had hardly sipped my drink when the first course arrived, and we had not finished our first course (far from it) when the main courses arrived and were just placed on the table where they got cold as we finished our appetizers or switched to eat the main and finish the appetizer later. That has never happened to me before. I can understand it when people come for business lunches and are in a hurry but not for a dinner with a reservation for 7pm. Was everyone anxious to get home?

    Overall the food was very good with the exception that the sides came out cold and no one checked soon enough to make replacing them worthwhile. Never had a chance to order a second drink because we were not checked on until I had finished my entree. Will probably eat here again because the food is good but the service needs some work.
