    One of our favorite restaurants in St. Louis but we have not been for some time. New menu, some new offerings, some old ones gone (like 9 ounce glass of wine). Salad offerings have not improved. Crab cakes are still great as is the pork chop. They only offer one chicken dish and it could be better.

    Our server was incredible. She made sure we had the best time as we were celebrating a friend’s 22nd birthday. She was very informative, letting us know about the cocktails they served as well as food. The food was wonderful. J. Gilbert’s is a great place for a date night or an evening out with friends.

    Everything was very good. The green beans were not done and the steaks were a little more done than we requested but everything tasted great. The crab bisque is to die for.

    Our waiter was excellent. He has been there 9 years. I'm sorry I can't remember his name. Wonderful food also. Everyone's meal was great. Prime rib Salmon Ribs.
