Artistically designed with unique sculptures, Javier's Crystal Cove provides guests with ocean views in a cozy, contemporary atmosphere to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine. It opened its doors in 2008 on Newport Beach and is conveniently close to the Crystal Cove Shopping Center. This restaurant offers guests an upscale dining experience with such entrees as the Maine lobster enchilada topped with Monterey jack cheese and grilled chicken breasts braised in chipotle sauce. Javier's Crystal Cove serves a variety of fresh seafood dishes, appetizers and delicious desserts. It has a full bar that features numerous tequilas, cocktails, beers and wine. Service was not great — the waiter was all over us to order drinks when we sat down, then forgot my MIL’s wine until we had almost finished eating. Ordered guacamole to start and it took at least 20 mins — at lunchtime (wasn’t busy). Been to Javier’s many times and every time I think, just come for a drink next time. Margaritas are great and the food is decent but not really worth the price IMO. bill was $300 for 5 of us (split 3 entrees, 1 app, and 5 drinks).

Overall the experience was great from the food, to the service and everything in between. The staff are very friendly, attentive and make sure that you are taken care of. The updates that have been made really add to the experience. Thank you for a great time.

Beautiful restaurant! Asked for an ocean view, got it. (This was a lunch reservation.) Reservation was for 6 but we had 7 - not a problem for them. Food was delicious - not too pretentious, not ordinary. Service was excellent.

Margaritas tasted like they were out of a jug from Costco. Chips tasted stale. The food was fair, not worth the price. The renovation design felt like eating in a cafeteria, loud and overcrowded with people and tables. I had to yell to talk. Waiters seemed rushed and overwhelmed even on a Monday night! Very disappointed.

We made reservations for our anniversary. Upon arrival, seated and then we kept waiting. A manager took our drink order 25 minutes after seated “she’ll find out who our waiter is”. After 10 more minutes of waiting still no waiter or drinks. After 35 minutes of waiting we left. As we’re leaving the manager shows up with drinks, too late! Used to be a customer & love their food. Never again!

star w the octopus ceviche really good the shrimp ceviche is good but taste better in vegas location.green enchiladas are good option two.
