The service at this restaurant was very attentive and efficient w/ out feeling rushed. We were seated at a great table that sat at the perfect height to overlook the PCH and let us see the beautiful skyline. The parking lot is very crowded, we chose Valet. It is a little awkward as there is no kiosk for drop off, just a sign to stop here for Valet. There is a kiosk to pay/retrieve your car. There was a constant glow of people at the entrance that made it difficult to see the Valet stand. The food and drink were delicious. It was a fun evening. All in our party (4) would return.

Noise level prevented any normal conversation. Food devoid of any flavor. Service professional, friendly and helpful. Kudos!! Have eaten there before and food much better then.

Not sure what happened after the reno. Seems attitude is a pre requisite for working here. Definitely the place to be seen now lol But ok most of us can give attitude as well but the the food isn’t what it once was. Carnitas was dry and tasteless. Pork chop overdone. Tacos are tacos just about anywhere. Guacamole is still amazing. Cocktails 🫤 more ice than anything else. We used to love this place. So if you want to be seen w the latest Balmain or Alaia then go in girl strut your stuff!

Javiers is a go to place when friends are in town. The ambiance can't be beat for light bright lively environment. The service is always impeccable. The food is delicious and fresh. If you haven't tried the ceviche, you are missing out. It is not a good place for intimate chats or people who have issues with noise. No matter how many people are there it is always loud and sometimes difficult to hear the people at your table

Three stars. Beautiful location and decor. Rude and obnoxious reception. Would not seat me early, only party of two and restaurant not full. This was 5:30 pm on Wednesday night. I asked if she could speak to a manager. After she said she could move me to an interior table but couldn’t move me to a better location when my friend arrived. When she came ten min later she moved me to an ok location. When I asked to be moved to a booth and better location she rudely refused . I asked to speak to a manager. He said no to a booth saying they were transitioning to dinner. I had been there half an hour before the dinner time. He did move us to a better location. Waiter was great. Bartender great. Food meh. Too bad. I have followed Javier for years went to their Laguna location in the 1990’s before they became what they are now. Also visited their original location in San Jose Del Cabo and frequent Irvine. Chips and salsa best thing. Also Pina drink fantastic. Wish service and food was better and fit beautiful remodel and location. 3 stars

Loved this restaurant! My husband wants this to be our new anniversary spot. The only maybe not so great thing I can say is that the servers hardly spoke English. Which is great for the authenticity of the restaurant! But just a little hard to communicate our needs. Other than that no complaints. Beautiful inside, good vibes and great food!!

We love Javier’s like all of OC. Great atmosphere and service. Only critique is the food has been over cooked the last couple months. Not bad enough to send back but I would recommend asking for medium rare on any meat and make a note to the server on poultry
