   Good experience overall for a busy night. The food was pretty bad though. The crab was basically frozen, full of very cold water. So sad that they didn’t have any steamed crab on the menu for Ny Eve! The artichoke was very dry and over done and same w the toasted carrots! The fish dish was good and the baked potato and clam chowder was good. Not the greatest experience. Server Sierra was energetic and had good personality:) we didn’t complain about the food, but it wasn’t great. We very rarely go out in NYE for this reason. Kings usually pretty good!!

   Kings is reliable and we like the setting. The fish and food portions seem to have shrunk, but the price hasn’t, which seems to be the same everywhere.

   The restaurant was quiet on this visit. Our server was a little cocky and not as attentive as we are accustomed to. He didn't pay attention to what we ordered. Twice he was going to give what I ordered to my husband. We could see him talking to others in the kitchen, then almost forgot to bring me my soup. When he did bring it out, it wasn't hot, telling me it had been sitting up waiting to be delivered to the table. Shortly after, a runner brought our entrees out to the table and they were hot. We had to ask for refills on our drinks. The server has taken the drink and desert menu from the table, that we could not refer to it for after dinner drinks or deserts, so we decided not to order, otherwise we may have as discussed. We felt forgotten about, even with it being slow and we were celebrating a birthday. On the upside, the food was fresh and delicious.

   Food and service was excellent. Wished I could remember the servers name because he worked so hard to make sure we were taken care of through the evening.

   Because of the poor economy they’re cutting corners by using lesser quality seafoods, and the difference is quite clear. Such a disappointment from before when they were the favorite for the entire family! They were not nearly as busy as they normal either which reinforces my opinion that others also feel that King’s has lost the magic that once made them the premier chain seafood restaurant. Service was excellent, but when there are many empty tables, the service better be fantastic to overcome the mediocre meals. I hope they learn soon before they go out of business.

    We were welcomed with open arms and treated very well by Nick, our server. This is our new Christmas Eve tradition and King’s Fish House delivered! Our dinner for the evening was the Captains Platter, Tuna Melt, Poke app, kids cheeseburger, Caesar salad, and a chilled bottle of Pinot Grigio … YUM!
