Established in 1993, King’s Fish House is Long Beach’s choice for seafood. Located at the corner of E. Broadway and Pine Ave., King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily.

We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.

Second time dining at King’s first time in Calabasas and yesterday at Long Beach, their sea food top notch, we had shrimp taquitos, Louie salad and tuna rare with sides, and cocktails, it was my daughter’s birthday so the desert was on the house, banana pudding with ice cream, five star establishment

Excellent dining experience: The miso sea bass with rice, prawns and scallops, sides of spinach and asparagus were oh so delicious! We went back the following day!!

Our issue was with the service. Our food was delivered either too fast - the main course arrived while we we were in the middle of eating our salads, or too slow - our appetizer was delivered way AFTER the main course arrived. Our drinks were not kept filled. It made for a somewhat unsatisfying dining experience. Good thing the food was good.
