My party of six arrived as soon as the restaurant opened. We were seated promptly and given menus. I asked for the restaurant week menu and the server brought one over to the table. One menu for a table of six was the first clue that the experience may not be up to par. We ordered our drinks and soon after ordered our food. The drinks from the bar came out in a reasonable time frame. The food however is a different story. It took over 30 minutes to receive our starters. Four people ordered the brunch bowl (bananas or strawberries served with whipped cream, shortbread cookies and caramel sauce). The Entrees came out within five minutes of the starters. That is crazy. The entrees were cold as they had been sitting in the kitchen because of the delay with the starters. The server didn’t give an explanation about the delay. We asked the server for glasses of water and after several trips to the table, we still didn’t get any water. I finally asked a Busboy for some water. We received glasses of water with minutes after the request. Our server just wasn’t on top of things. I am not sure what was happening in the kitchen that lead to the delay in the food being served, but it negatively impacted our experience. This was a disappointing experience.
