Not a great visit. Took a while to be recognized so we could check in (5 minutes). Then ordered fast, but drinks were forgotten. Bread came out, but took a long time for appetizers. Empty water glasses for 30 mins. 20 minutes to get an omelette and the avocado crab after apps were done. Just meh. Been there before so know it’s not always like this - may have been because we were causally dressed. Who knows.

The primary complaint from everyone about our meal at La Merise French Bistro was that the food was mediocre at best for all three of us. My daughter ordered a vegetarian crepe which included an unusual combination of vegetables (artichokes and spinach where the artichokes overwhelmed all the other vegetables) and it was served with a Bechamel sauce that was as bland as it could be. She said, "this tastes like a roux with no seasonings." My wife order chicken croquettes made with overwhelmingly salty chopped chicken pieces but served with a "tasty"white sauce. I ordered a Niçoise salad. The greens were fresh but the eggs were way overcooked, the variety of vegetables small, the dressing bland, and the tuna seared on a grill that left the taste of charred meats and metal on the fish. Wow! I know this sounds pretty bad but for the very high price of lunch we all got pretty poor meals.

The for is very good, but the service is lacking because of too few servers. The ones there are very nice, but is was too many tables for them. We were disappointed because of that.

Our “go-to”restaurant. Predictably, everything was very good, except the lady next to us with the operatic voice, and your new prices, which are climbing too high. $46 for a number of your entrees???? But your house wines still are good and well priced. Of course we’ll be back. A suggestion—-parking is absurdly difficult. Couldn’t you make an arrangement with the dance school diagonally across the corner to let your customers park there at night?

La Merise always delivers. The service was warm but professional, and the food was delicious. Our table ordered the sea bass special, steak frites, beef Bourguignon, the burger, French onion soup, and beet salad, and everything was perfect.

Great food and it was a bit slow due to holiday. The Sea Bass special was absolutely delicious. My husband ate his entire lamb chop dinner and wanted more, it was so scrumptious.

Just not what it once was. Seated by hostess at exact reservation time. But Waited and waited. About 10 minutes. Finally asked a waitress if she had our table. She said she would find the waitress. Finally shows up. No apology for wait. Terrible seating in noisy area. Will pick another restaurant next tine
