   My partner and I were excited to celebrate our anniversary here, only to leave disappointed and sad with our experience. We felt some discrimination (we being a gay couple and asian). Our server did not attend to us with the same enthusiasm and care with his other guests. He made us feel unwelcome there. We weren't offered or given any suggestions for our meal, he never engaged in conversation with us, and the only time he did was when my girlfriend was paying the bill, and he asked us where we were from and made an insulting remark about our politics. Then he was gone. Although I loved the alone time my partner and I shared, enjoying each other and the experience of the rotating restaurant, we somehow feel we were discriminated upon because we were not given the same experience we saw other guests were given. Our coats were just handed to us, when the other guests were assisted with their coats to wear. To think my partner even left a nice tip, and the couple after us did not but were assisted with their coats. Why were we treated so differently? We chose to not make a deal about it so we won't spoil our special dinner by just smiling and being nice, even to our server despite his disrespectful remarks about our country. The food was not that remarkable too. My lobster ravioli was too salty. I am glad my partner liked her prime rib (she had to ask our server herself what the best selling item was becasue he never suggested anything to us) but she has tasted better prime ribs. We both can say the escargot was good though. We chose ice cream for dessert and were handed 3 scoops of chocolate ice cream, no fixins, no presentation whatsoever. Our server did not suggest anything, just stared at us while we were deciding. The least he could have done was suggest 3 different flavours (bec they had 3 flavours available anyway!). It was a very regretful experience.

   Lovely experience. Haven’t been to the La Ronde in 20 years. But the memories I had from back then made me want to come back. We will be visiting the La Ronde again soon! Great place, great food, great atmosphere. Above and beyond on service

   We enjoyed the New Year’s Day Brunch at La Ronde. Kevin, our server, was attentive and filled our glasses with lots of juice, water and coffee throughout our meal. The server at the Omelette Station was kind and I enjoyed a nice brief conversation with him while my omelette was being made. The people at reception and coat check were great, too. It has been several years since we dined at La Ronde and will need to come back soon for more good meals and views.

   It was great! Definitely recommend eating at LaRonde. A little pricey but well worth it - the service, food and ambiance is well worth the money.

   Our supper at La Ronde was an incredible disappointment. The service was very slow, portions were abysmally small, and prices over the top, even for supposed ‘top tier’ dining. We didn’t bother staying the extra 20 minutes for the New Years countdown, with empty glasses, and subpar food and service. We had tried 3 different dishes and were disappointed in all three…. We figured we’d try a few appetizers as our reservation was for 10:30, so we could see the fireworks. After the first two, we decided against trying the others for the astronomical prices and baby size portions. We spent more time wondering where our server was than we did enjoying the evening. If we’d wanted to try the other appetizers, I’m not convinced we’d have been able to get them with a modicum of haste. All in all absolutely not worth the hype, or the money. I’d certainly eat before arriving if you plan to leave full….

   Very nicely done for New Year’s Eve overall. Could have a complimentary non alcoholic drink as well for cheering in the new year

    This was a great way for us to ring in the New Year. Food was amazing, the entertainment was fantastic, our server was very experienced and knowledgeable about the entire menu. Unfortunately I cannot remember his name but he has been there for years because he has served us brunch two years ago on Father's day. I would definitely go back for the beef brisket fondue I believe it's called. It's in the appetizers anyway you can't miss it. I had the prime rib, it was delicious, my husband had the New York strip, he loves it. Overall the experience was phenomenal I can't wait to go back. I want to say the server's name was Jason but I might be wrong, I wish I could remember because he was so good at what he does.
