A meal at Seabird has pretty much become a given for our family when we’re in Wilmington. It’s everything you want it to be, and it starts with their people: they clearly hire and train so well, and the level of service across the board is warm, approachable, genuine, and is always perfectly timed. Hospitality at its best. The dishes are thoughtfully composed and so good. We’ve never had a bad one, and most have been exceptional. The seafood tower is also a lot of fun. Their cocktails are always well-balanced and consistently hit the spot. The decor and atmosphere are similar to their staff: warm, inviting, unpretentious, and flawless in execution. I rarely write reviews, but I realized last night, as I was enjoying yet another wonderful evening at Seabird, that it was probably time I did so. Pro tip: We have small kiddos and often go later in the evening and let them fall asleep on us while we enjoy a leisurely meal. They have always been welcomed with open arms and the staff is thoughtful with kid-friendly menu recs. Our kids love the fried crackers and ask about them at home.

Outstanding service - prompt, courteous, the perfect amount of checking in, very knowledgeable. Sat on back patio - they have heaters if it’s chilly. Fresh grouper was the best I’ve had in the area. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Sea bass was also exquisite. The salads were generous portions st a great price. We will return!

Another wonderful dinner at Southern. The Scallops and Grits was flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We enjoy every visit. Locally sourced ingredients. What more could you ask for?
