I proposed to my soon to be wife at JB Hooks and have dined every Valentine's Day there for the last 12 yrs. She has been greeted with a single rose each year. They always have a Valentine dinner special or order off the menu. Either way, you both recieve a glass of champaine and desert. Your surrounded by windows over looking Lake of the Ozarks and even at night, you have the lights dancing off the off, which makes it even more special. The owner, checks in with each table to make sure your experience is a good one. He doesn't linger but will certainly hold a conversation with you, like you are a VIP.

The food was wonderful. The wait staff all answered my questions (I had many!), and they did so with immediate knowledge. We walked away stuffed and enjoyed the junior hockey team outside playing a game.

Baxter's made our Valentine dinner extra special. We chose the Chef's special for the evening - filet and lobster. The lobster tails were literally as big as my hand. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was attentive but gave us time to enjoy ourselves. That was quite a balancing act as the dining room was full and overflowing but we never felt rushed. Just wished we had room for dessert!

First time at Kai. Enjoyed the ambience, miso soup, jalapeño and yummy roll, and the warm sake. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and attentive. I would recommend Kai for date night.

Absolutely amazing food and the service was the best! The cheesecake sampler was delicious!
