Overall the Tavern was a fun experience food was delicious!!

Fairly extensive menu, including fine dining with vegetarian options as well as sandwiches. Full bar. Lovely atmosphere in old building. Tables nicely spaced apart. Friendly, attentive staff. Live jazz guitar was an unexpected bonus.

The sea bass and salmon meals were both very delightful, full of flavor, beautifully presented, and served gracefully. Scott is always superlative and is a model for professional, formal dining. His ability to suggest, execute, and deliver is truly remarkable and always appreciated. Excellent experience.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. Food was great and the solo music act so very entertaining. The place has the feel of a Colorado ski lodge.

We were traveling and needed a dinner location for 4 people … on Valentines Day. Even though the reception was full of walk-ins waiting for a table, we arrived on time for our 7PM reservation and were seated immediately. (We did get some dirty looks from the walk-ins who’d been waiting a while!) Once seated our waiter was as reasonably prompt as you can expect on that holiday, so no dings there. Unfortunately the kitchen had some staffing problems with staff no-shows so the meals were slow, but they were fresh off the grill and hot so nothing was sitting for long. Bottom line: decent food, reasonable service on a tough night, and thank goodness for the Open Table reservation!!!
