- SSarahVIPPhiladelphia County •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoMy goodness, this place is incredible! From the really interesting mural on the wall (it's made from pieces of Mexican billboards and touched up regularly from the artist, a local from Austin), to the food, to the tequila, to the very informed and chill waiter - nothing fell short. Here are a few tips I want to share to make your experience top notch. 1.) Get the chicken tacos. You get three and they are small and perfectly Devine with homemade corn tortillas. We had them as an appetizer. It's a must do!! 2.) If you are into tequila, take a look at the epic list and discuss with your wait staff. The staff get educated regularly on different ones. I asked our guy to chose one for me - it was fully women owned and made. Omg - Devine! I sipped it over ice for dessert. Was so smooth and a perfect end to my meal. 3.) We don't like super spicy food so we opted for the chicken dish and ordered green beans as the side. You cut the chicken and use tortillas to made little tacos. We clearly missed that if it was written on the menu. There's fresh cilantro and onion which you can fold in. We also accidentally got the corn dish which we happily accepted and added to the tacos. The big differentiator here was the waiter. He properly informed us of every dish we inquired about. We avoided a few spicy land mines as a result and landed the "perfectly selected food plane"! We were recommended this place by a friend who lived in Austin. Take the locals recommendation! Yum yum yum!More infoLa CondesaPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Downtown•4.6
- MMichelleVIPAustin •29 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoDean’s lived up to the hype and is the perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion or have a date night if you want upscale but classic Italian steakhouse cuisine with fantastic service! I made reservations for 2 at 9:15 pm on Valentine’s Day (Friday night). We arrived early at 8:50 pm and were seated about 5 minutes ahead of our reserved time. To celebrate Valentine’s Day, they were giving each couple a rose which was such a nice touch! SERVICE - Our server, Hannah, was so attentive, personable, and took great care of us! Despite it being Valentine’s Day, we received great service from start to finish… our water glasses were constantly refilled, food came out quickly, and both the manager and chef checked on us toward the end of the meal to ensure everything was to our liking. We were highly impressed! WAGYU MEATBALLS (8/10) - These were juicy, flavorful, and seasoned really well! You get 5 meatballs with plenty of San Marzano sauce and Grana Padano on top and it comes with a piece of crispy bread. DEAN’S ONION SOUP (10/10) - If you love French onion soup, this is a MUST order! The broth is incredibly flavorful, the cheese is plentiful and perfectly melted, and the volume of onions was ideal. SPICY SHRIMP STROZZAPRETI (9/10) - The strozzapreti was cooked to the perfect al dente and the sauce had a nice balance of cheesiness, creaminess, garlic, and chile oil. 8 OZ PETITE FILET (10/10) - Fantastic steak! It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and had a nice crust around the edges while still being juicy and tender inside. BILLIONAIRE’S POTATO (10/10) - One of the best twice baked potatoes I've had! I LOVE truffle so the freshly shaved truffles on top were a great addition and the actual flavor of the potato was fantastic… you could taste the cheeses but could also still taste the potato so it wasn’t overbearing. This was my first time at Dean’s but I would definitely go back and will recommend it to others in the downtown Austin area!More infoDean's Italian SteakhousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.7

- OTOpenTable DinerWashington, D.C. Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe had not been back to Red Ash since before the Pandemic. Shame on us! Now we certainly will make a new reservation as soon as possible, which will probably be a few months from now. Red Ash is so popular that it is that difficult to get a table. But the wait is certainly worth it. This evening we tried the Octopus a la Plancha at our server, Emma's suggestion. Octopus for our first time. It was wonderfully delicious and tender. For dinner we split Frutti di Mare, a wonderful selection of seafood laid on a bed of the best black and white sphagettini. Cooked perfectly! Emma was the perfect hostess and we were able to reconnect with Brand Favata, our favorite server from six years ago. It seems that very few few employees leave Red Ash. It is such a wonderful restaurant!! We'll be back very soon.More infoRed Ash ItaliaPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.9
- RRonSan Antonio •2 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoAs a former Austin resident, Truluck's was always one of our favorite dining spots. While back in town for a business meeting, I knew exactly where to take our clients for a great dinner—Truluck's was the only choice. With their selection of fresh seafood flown in daily from the East Coast, they did not disappoint. The large crab claws were a standout, especially for our guests who had never tried them before. In fact, their CEO enjoyed them so much, he ate three himself! Truluck’s remains a must-visit for us whenever we’re in Austin or at one of their other Texas locations.More infoTruluck's - Ocean's Finest Seafood & Crab - Austin DowntownPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Downtown•4.8
