You can’t ever go wrong with GVG! The bar is really nice with a good draft and bottled/canned beer selection, wine, and craft cocktails. The menu is always full of great selections covering the range from salads and soups, to seafood, chicken, and beef. We had the grouper selection and the root beer braised short ribs. Awesome. Desserts were outstanding .

To start, the restaurant is simply beautiful during the holiday season. When we walked in we were greeted with smiles and warmth from a wood burning fire in the lobby area. Once seated, we had a view of yet another fireplace. Service was spot on and the wine very nice. However, it is the food that stole the evening. I had the ribeye rare and my wife had the ribeye medium rare. Both were cooked to perfection. The sides were delicious. We were too stuffed to have desert there but brought one home for a treat the next day. Would definitely recommend.

We dined on December 18, 2024 with quite a number of holiday gatherings present. While energetic and festive, the ambiance was tilted toward louder than usual. Not uncomfortable, just not quite as comfortable. The table was perfect, the food delicious and the service impeccable.

We had a great weekend away at Primland. Ate a few meals at Leatherflower and loved every one. Staff is super kind and attentive. A lot of locally sourced items which I think is pretty awesome. Would definitely come back.

I would only add signage to the building itself. The road is marked but the restaurant has no visible signs so we drove around wondering if it was someone’s large mountain home or not. No lights and no signs.
