This was our first time celebrating Thanksgiving at a restaurant and it was wonderful. J. Gilbert’s is our place for special occasions, so it was our choice for this holiday. The menu was very traditional, which is what we wanted, and there was no skimping on portions. Of course, it didn’t compare to what we make at home, but the trade-off was that we avoided all that work and clean up just for the two of us. Happily, we will have turkey sandwiches for a couple of days - our favorite part of Thanksgiving. Our waiter was very personable and gave us just the right amount of attention. The ambiance was perfect and the noise level was low. It was such a lovely evening!

We will definitely go again! Food was great, service was great. We had to keep our coats on because it was so chilly in the restaurant. It would've been nice if it were warmer because it would have a better experience but they can turn the heat up lol

Our family always enjoys our meals. Nice variety and dishes that I can't make as well at home. Cocktails and beer hit the mark The andouille shrimp and grits, seared scallops over butternut risotto, pot roast. and chicken and waffles were all divine. Not a morsel of food was left on our plates. The appetizers of brie jammy onion bread, green tomatoes and biscuits kicked off our meal. This is a reliable casually elegant dinner spot

From the moment we sat down, Tek (our server) made this an unforgettable evening in the best possible ways. The food was spectacular. I had the sole - which, having had an office in Paris for many years, I rarely dare to order in the US. It was amazing! My wife had the most delectable scallops plus stuffed shrimp. We were celebrating our anniversary, they made this one of the best celebrations ever! Samara (the manager) stopped by as well to express her gratitude. What an amazing evening!!!

This was our 1st time eating here and the food was delicious. Our margaritas were excellent & our server took great care of us. It’s a convenient place to eat prior to a show at Capital One Hall.
