Restaurants near Dart Island State Park

The food and the service at J.Gilbert are always excellent. It is a reliable choice for a very pleasant evening out. My only criticism is that the decor is a bit dated; it could do with some freshening up.

Some of the tapas, like the grilled octopus and lamb croquettes (a special of the day) were exceptional, and most were very good. Fans of gambas al ajillo may want to skip it, as the shrimp were disappointing. El Pulpo also has many paella options, and the Valenciana was nice. It had a good crust around the edge of the pan and rich flavors.

Party of 7 sat comfortably at the crescent table and had a great time-quieter part of restaurant. Food was great!
