Ever since the first caveman decided to slap a side of mammoth over the cave fire, man (and woman) has enjoyed the flavor of food cooked over a wood fire. At Timber Wood-Fire Bistro, all of our dishes are made from scratch using the highest quality ingredients. They are then cooked either over our state-of-the-art wood burning grill or in a brick oven heated by the embers of logs. Cooking in this way imparts a slight smokiness as it brings out the natural flavors of the food. A juicy ribeye sizzles and caramelizes, giving the tender beef a gorgeous crust. The homemade dough for our pizzas rises in the heat, and the crust gets to be the perfect combination of crisp and chewy. Vegetables share an entirely new flavor profile when cooked over wood.     we had a delicious meal of baked salmon and prime rib. My wife said the salmon was the best she has ever had, and the prime rib was excellent. Our waitress was exceptional and make our dining experience very pleasant. we were seated right by the kitchen which made it a little noisy but otherwise it was fantastic.

    Always a delicious meal with great service. Today, was a special Valentine’s menu and it didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed the scallops and Wagyu Denver steak! Desserts were scrumptious (berry cheesecake and raspberry beignets with ice cream and caramel sauce). Love this restaurant. We were also pleasantly surprised to see Steven again as our server. He is very knowledgeable and friendly.

    We dined on February 13, 2025 and had the Valentine's Dinner for two of a shared Chateaubriand steak and a lobster tail. The food was amazing as well as the Daou cabernet sauvignon. What was even better was the service by Sevita. She was friendly, professional, funny and attentive. We didn't lack for anything during our holiday meal. We are always amazed at what a wonderful dining experience we have each and every time. Thanks Sevita and Fleming's!

    Our group enjoyed a delicious early dinner at Gorat’s on a Tuesday evening. Menu choices included the salmon dinner, wedge salad with shrimp, onion soup and beef filet dinner. All were very good, presented beautifully with very wait time. Atmosphere is relaxing and quiet; hostesses and waiter were friendly and provided excellent service. Parking is plentiful and close to the restaurant - a huge plus on a cold night. Great experience at one of Omaha’s classics.
