This Kensington local favourite attracts fans from all over the capital who devoutly wish they had a Cibo - there's only one - in their street. The decor is cosy Mediterranean with truly unique artwork on the walls, with smaller rooms providing a sense of intimacy. The staff have that inimitable Italian welcome and capacity for fine service without a lot of fuss. Fish is a speciality of the house, so try pasta filled with crab in a special sauce to start, or the octopus, green bean and potato salad. Then go for the spaghetti with lobster in its own sauce, although the calves liver is delicious, too. Coffee with petits fours are on the don't miss list, too. Servings are huge and the pace is leisurely.

The oldest family run restaurant in London. Spanning 6 decades and three generations, Il Portico Restaurant on Kensington High Street has been cooking regional Italian specialities since it was first opened in the 1960"s by acclaimed chef Pino Chiavarini. Still managed to this day by the same family, siblings James and Francesca draw heavily from their roots, providing simple, authentic Italian food from their home region of Emilia Romagna and beyond. Whilst the family are always on hand to welcome you in, our Executive chef, Eduardo (currently in his 25th year of service with us) concentrates on slow, homemade dishes with a sense of history and provenance.

La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Expect wild noisette venison, Wiltshire truffles (thanks to our house truffle dog Alba!), rare woodland mushrooms, and much wonderful produce from our small organic farm in Kent. The wine list is sourced entirely from independent producers, and regularly updated with a specialised focus on low intervention, natural and biodynamic wines. We are across the road to the Design Museum & Holland Park, a 10 minute walk from Kensington Olympia and a short distance to the Royal Albert Hall.

Opened in 1996 the Havelock Tavern is one of London's original gastro pubs. Unlike many others that have come and gone since, we have changed very little over that time. Rather than become a restaurant in an old pub building, we focus on being a pub that serves really good food. The atmosphere is lively and informal so that anyone can eat, drink and feel at home. We are not trying to be sophisticated, but aim to provide you with a good, relaxing time. Our customers are a good mix of locals and others who have made the journey to spend an afternoon or evening with us. You are just as likely to see a table of mates catching up over a few pints as a couple tucking in to three courses. We have background music playing just to add to the already vibrant atmosphere.
