James Beard Award-winning Chef Andrew Black makes his way back to Skirvin Hotel to open his newest restaurant concept, Perle Mesta. The restaurant will be his first concept to open since winning a James Beard award as 2023’s Best Chef Southwest and will be located on the first floor of the historic Skirvin Hotel (One Park Avenue, Oklahoma City). Perle Mesta will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner service and the cuisine will reflect Chef Black’s continued exploration of what he calls “possibility cuisine,” a concept he attributes to his style of cooking that explores and embraces the endless possibilities of ingredients, flavors, techniques, and cultural influences. In this context, possibility cuisine involves chefs pushing the boundaries of traditional cooking and experimenting with unconventional ingredients, fusion cuisine, molecular gastronomy, or avant-garde techniques. It may involve a sense of creativity, innovation, and openness to exploring new culinary horizons.

What a thoughtful and well executed menu. We tried a bit of everything, but if you even kinda-like Brussels sprouts, the Brussels Caesar was the clear winner of the evening. Everything else was varying degrees of delicious, but hands down this is the dish to get every time. Everyone was friendly, the atmosphere is very intimate and I will most certainly be going back to try more of the menu. Only ding on the experience was how little the server really knew about the menu, asked about a dish's ingredients and guy was pretty well clueless. He was very nice but just expected a bit more polish from a restaurant of this caliber. Certainly still a 5 star review, he may have just be a new employee. In any event, what a neat little gem of a restaurant and honestly felt like the prices were a great value for the taste and execution the kitchen sends out.

One comes to this restaurant with certain expectations and I must say the staff here does irs level best to meet or exceed them. We had the 7 course tasting menu with the gold level wine pairing and were rewarded with most interesting food creations and wine that accentuated it's uniqueness. Some wines were definitely more appreciated than others, but in total all were exceptional. Each course was peceded by a wine pour with background on its location & creation, followed by the course presentation again with an explanation of contents & preparation. While expensive, the experience is unmatched, and to me worthwhile. My only complaint was the cold draft hitting the back of my neck from the outside door throughout the meal, but hey you have to suffer sometimes to enjoy greatness!

Nestled in a beautifully restored historic building, Tellers offers an unforgettable dining experience that perfectly blends charm, elegance, and exceptional cuisine. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the breathtaking holiday decorations that added a festive glow to the already stunning ambiance. The building itself, steeped in history, sets the perfect backdrop for a truly special meal. The food was nothing short of amazing. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, bursting with flavor, and presented with care. Whether you’re a foodie or simply someone who enjoys a good meal, Tellers delivers on every front. The service was impeccable, striking a balance between professionalism and genuine warmth. Our server was an absolute delight—personable, funny, and attentive without being intrusive. They made us feel welcome and added a personal touch to the evening that truly elevated the experience. Tellers is more than just a restaurant; it’s a destination. Whether you’re visiting for a special occasion or simply want to treat yourself to a remarkable night out, this place checks every box. I can’t wait to return and experience the magic again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
