- EElizabethSan Francisco Bay Area •36 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoWe had a pre-theater dinner. Seated promptly at reservation time. Orange and beet salad was a perfect combo I wouldn't have thought of. Both mains were very good. The mushrooms on the risotto stood out. Tables are close, but this is a city after all.More infoZuni CafePrice: Expensive• Modern European• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.6

Price reasonable for San Francisco.More infoThe ProgressPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Western Addition•4.8
- MMike and Mary AnneSan Francisco Bay Area •9 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 8, 2024The experience was reminiscent of eating at a village restaurant in Volterra, Italy. No nonsense service delivered without any banter, delicious food, generous portions, and quiet cozy atmosphere. The bread was some of the best ever: crispy crust with a super soft and flavorful middle, and can be dipped in a very tasty olive oil and lovely balsamic vinegar. The standard chianti was wonderful and paired well with the scrumptious vegetable lasagnetta. Every aspect of this meal and experience was a 5-star: would definitely visit again.More infoIl BorgoPrice: Moderate• Italian• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.7
- MMichaelTahoe / Reno Area •3 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 20, 2024Old world ambiance meets current SF vibe. We shared six small plates between four people and couldn't finish them all. Each was a vibrant taste experience. Especially notable were the Beef Pierogi Dumplings which were uniquely savory. For a light meal, before the theater, the Cheesy Roasted Potatoes and Roasted Beet Salad would satisfy two. Edward, the owner, served one hit after the other, knowing how to serve encore after encore of deliciousness.More infoGambit LoungePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Western Addition•4.6
