After 25 years of business, David Gravino, owner of Iggy's Doughboys & Chowder House listened to many customer requests to have a full service sit-down version of the Clam Shack in Oakland Beach. Iggy's Boardwalk Lobster and Clam Bar is just that. A full-service cozy version of the iconic Iggy's Chowder House. La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversized iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. The wine list encompasses all regions of Italy with few of the best American and the rest of the world.

    First time there for brunch. Upon walking in I knew we were in the right place by how busy it was. The rock crab and lobster Benedict’s were fabulous!! Our server Brian was efficient and attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to go back.

    First time dining there. Beautiful place, super fresh ingredients! The nachos are better than any that you've had. All the tacos were delicious. We had two different servers because of the storm and both were super attentive, friendly and amazing!

    Every bite of our meals was terrific from the house made mozzarella with mortadella to the beef carpaccio apps, to the main courses of the swordfish special, salmon and grilled octopus! Tim was an attentive, efficient and friendly server. I was a little skeptical about the table we were offered which was up front near the bar, but the maiter‘d assured me it would be comfortable and he was right! Just an all round great experience!
